Healthy eating and nutrition is connected with mental health and well-being and promotes academic success. The York Catholic District School Board supports the Ministry of Education’s Food and Beverage Policy and promotes healthy school nutrition environments.
Thank you for making sure that certain foods are not sent to school so we can work together to keep our students with life threatening allergies safe. Kindly continue to check food products, especially breads, for nut, seed and legume ingredients. Some “healthier” breads contain seeds and nut products that pose a serious threat to our students with allergies.
This week, the GNA students will be participating in many activities and workshops on the topic of Bullying Prevention. Students learn to stand up and report bullying and also, how to nurture friendships with each other. We remember to #bekindeverytime and to be a buddy not a bully!
